The Grove, memory care neighborhood at Ohio Living Llanfair has a uniquely designed, ground-breaking approach to memory care. The Montessori Method is changing the lives of Ohio Living Llanfair residents by engaging their senses, tapping into muscle memory and increasing engagement and reconnection. This research-based program brings meaning and purpose to every day by incorporating the residents’ unique interests and experiences by strengthening their sense of self.

Activities in the Grove focus on the whole person. From physically active pursuits such as dancing and exercise classes. Spiritual programs on campus include time with Ohio Living Llanfair’s full-time Chaplain leading bible study class, one-on-one visits with Grove residents and learning about other spiritual practices. Time to just enjoy being together is also an important component to our residents’ well-being. Social aspects such as playing cards, themed parties and attending live and virtual entertainment gives residents a sense of connection with each other and the world around them. Intellectual programming allows our residents to pursue life-long learning include games and puzzles, word challenges and educational programs which explore topics they may have never learned about before.

Our belief is simple – our residents do not live in our facility; we work in their home. We treat our residents as individuals with dignity, and help them to be as independent as possible.
